Many of us in lighting design see a gap. Architectural concepts and tools solve architectural problems, but every space isn't architecture. Horizontal and vertical planes describe rooms, not roads. Some areas are simply too diverse to templatize. Civil lighting design is the emerging discipline that fills this gap.
